If you own a business or are in the position of business manager, you know the huge impact aesthetic appearance has on your company. Whether you have frequent visitors or not, it only takes one visit to put off a great client, or worse yet—potential client. Of all reasons to not reach your highest earning potential, poor office appearance should not be one. You could take on the task of maintaining the office yourself. If it’s a small office and you’re just getting started, this may be a viable option. However, there’s more to appearance than just cleaning. Beyond the traditional sweeping and mopping of floors, wiping of counters, cleaning of toilets, etc., there are tough tasks such as changing light bulbs in lighting structures that may be hard to reach (such as chandeliers). There’s also dusting and vacuuming every inch of the space, which could involve moving heavy furniture and office equipment. There’s no excuse for skimping on tasks that don’t seem convenient that week because, like we said before, it only takes that one bad visit to ruin your chances with a paying customer or client.
